It’s a matter of Trust

I am excited. REALLY excited. Because a big project I have been working on the past almost 6 mths is finally signed, sealed and delivered and about to be released in a month’s time. August 13th! That’s the date that Old Man River’s much awaited sophomore album Trust is released here in Australia. I have been so thrilled and honoured to be part of this project – it is the biggest thing I’ve worked on so far, but I also think Ohad is such a great artist and his music is really genuine, warm and authentic, much like him really. I have loved all the tunes off Trust that I’ve been lucky enough to listen to – and I’m sure many of you will too.

The album is also being released in Japan! OMR has been rather successful there with his first album. A hard market to crack!

23rd July – N.B I just received word that the release date has been pushed back to 10th Sept. Sorry folks, but I have listened to Trust and I promise that it is a brilliant, beautiful album and will be worth the wait. In the meantime, I am going to try to get my hands on a Japan-import version, stay tuned for pics!

It’s a wrap!

I recently illustrated some posters, flyers and branding for a new film night called Wrap Party, which kicks off tomorrow (Tues) night at Name This Bar in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Cheap drinks, free popcorn, DJs and all sorts of short films from horror slashies to music clips to episodes of Sharehouse Zombie Apocalypse. This night sounds rad. Any budding filmmakers are encouraged to take part and show their films at future nights! I may show some films myself now that I am playing around with my new Super 8 cams…

You’re on my mind…

I had  a very nice miletone on Friday. Old Man River’s You’re On My Mind EP was released – which is very exciting for me as it was the first time I got to see my artwork on a cd in a shop. I’ve done a few cds before, but it was pretty awesome to walk into my local JB Hifi and see them sitting there in the racks.

The EP itself is really good, I love how infectious and happy the music is, so do yourself a favour and check it out. You can get it from iTunes HERE, JB Hifi or all other good cd shops.
