I was recently invited to take part in the EMI Art Project by EMI Music Australia. Situated at their offices in Surry Hills, Sydney, the project features in their main windows facing Flinders St and consists of rotating installations by local artists including the likes of Beastman, Esjay and Kris Moyes. I painted a mural (with some help from my handsome boyfriend who never complained despite 20hrs of slave labour) which I call Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You.
It’s a piece based on the saying ‘you hear 100 Nos for every Yes’. As a creative person, you really have to come to terms with the idea of rejection. I also like that Yes is a much more powerful word than No – a single Yes can open doors and change your life. Unless it’s to socks-with-sandals. That’s a definite no-no.
The mural is up for the next month or so, so check it out if you’re in the area!

It’s that time of year again! Time to put up your feet, see your friends and family, stuff yourself with food and forward to the year to come. I recently illustrated this sentiment for The British Council for their digital end-of-year card.

For those of you asking about prints from the show, there are still a few framed and unframed prints left. Unfortunately Daft Punk and Bjork are completely sold out, with only 1 Kanye print left. Prices are between $140-170 for the unframed giclée prints and $320-$450 for a framed one. All prints are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity. The prints are printed on 100% cotton rag 310 gsm paper and were done in a limited edition of 5 each. If you’re interested in getting your hands on any of the prints, please

My first solo show POP has been open just over a week, thankyou to everyone who came to opening night and made it such a great time! Quite a few of the prints have been flying out the door, with several (Kanye, Daft Punk, Bjork) already close to selling out – so if you’re keen to get your hands on one, head to Mart Gallery to check out the show. It’s open from Tues to Sat, 12-5pm.
Thanks to mX for giving the show some front page coverage, and Two Thousand for the lovely writeup. Also thanks to Moffit Moffit and Pure Blonde for sponsoring the show. I’ll have some more snaps from the opening night up soon!

Yes, the rumours are true, I’m very excited to announce my first solo exhibition! It is being hosted by the lovely MART gallery in Sydney and runs from Oct 20th – 5th Nov.
It’s called POP and features a bunch of some of my favourite folk in pop music culture. Opening night is Thursday 20th Oct from 5.30-8.30pm. If you’re in Sydney, I’d love to see you there. There will be lots of colour and beer!
