Artwork pitch for an upcoming tour. Ended up using another variation which I will post up soon, but I still love the way the woods look so ominous and beautiful at the same time. If I can say so myself.

So… I got chosen to be part of this creative collective called The Groop. Started and driven by the folk at Modular, it is ‘a collection of creative thinkers who share the philosophy that innovation and ideas are what drives business today and not vice versa.’ There are design peeps, art peeps, advertising peeps, writer peeps, music peeps and my lovely self. I’m really stoked to be part of it and really keen for the experience and exposure to people from other creative fields - it’s refreshing given that a lot of my creative outlet is all my work, my ideas and opinions and totally from my point of view. This is a good thing for me to think outside the box, meet some other cool people and work on some new projects.
There is no set structure about what exactly The Groop will do, but there are some really great guest speakers coming in - can’t wait to hear some of them, particularly Mark Pollard, Nash Edgerton, and the Monster Children guys…
Already there is the chance to work on a collaborative project for Extra Cheeese that will also be featured as part of the Sydney Design ‘09 Program. I really can’t wait. There’s some good ideas being thrown around already.

Lost in Translation
June 2nd, 2009Sorry for the rather large delay in posts, have been busy travelling, Tokyo is an amazing city which you all must go visit at least once this lifetime! Beautiful food, beautiful architecture, lovely people and the best damn public transport system ever. If you can manage to not get lost in Shinjuku station. I will be at Glebe markets in the next couple of weeks for anyone interested, and you will be able to buy all of my shirts via my website in the next couple of days. Am working on a few projects at the moment, a new artwork for a music compilation, a collaborative digizine, new tshirt designs and possibly an illustrated storybook…

The United Tour
March 27th, 2009Just finished the poster artwork for the United Tour…which is a great tour in April/May this year featuring 5 emerging Aussie talents - Tara Simmons, mcArtney (I do really like his song Circles), Edward Guglielmino, Coby Grant and Simon Kelly - trekking all around the country together and sharing stages, stories and songs with all you lovely folk.
