For those of you in Sydney, I have some good news, I have a new stockist! Lilypad Designs in Newtown (267 King St, Newtown) now has a bunch of my cards, bags and other goodies for sale. Run by the lovely Kirsten, who is a designer and creates some of the lovely wares herself, it’s worth checking out. She also has some *ultra* cute buttons and pouches she makes. I really dig the ones of the Zoo.
Newcastle wunderkinds, Seabellies have released their much awaited debut album, By Limbo Lake. I was involved in some of the design and artwork for the album and the new single Trans Ending. You can check out their new video for Trans EndingHERE.
I recently did an illustration for Amelia’s Magazine of London band Amber States. Amelia’s is always a great read on the best underground creative projects in arts/music/fashion/culture around London and beyond. Amelia has been a big supporter of emerging creatives ever since she started her magazine and I love that the articles have a strong environmental and ethical leaning.
Amber States have a great, warm, folk sound – and incidentally they are a rather handsome band! Watch out, Mumford & co?
I like tea. A lot. You can probably get a tea to remedy just about anything. Some apparently help you lose weight. Probably not the way I have mine – milk and a nice dollop of honey.
I’ve been teaching myself animation and this is the first fruit off that tree. Fun to make – though it feels strange to see so many hours of work compressed into 40 secs. Stay tuned for more to come in the future…
