I finally got my hands on the July issue of Cleo, who included my cards in a feature on, well cards – but cute and crafty cards to show someone you care. Which is always a good cause! I also recently was featured on the Yen magazine website as their latest featured illustrator. They loved my illustration about Ari – who is tickled pink to have more subjects to rule.
I’ve recently been playing with my Diana F+ and some medium format film. Some of the colour saturation is really beautiful and the photos turn out nice and soft. Here’s some snaps from around Ye Olde Sydneytown lately, with the Biennale, birthdays and Cockatoo Island (more snaps after the jump).
I am excited. REALLY excited. Because a big project I have been working on the past almost 6 mths is finally signed, sealed and delivered and about to be released in a month’s time. August 13th! That’s the date that Old Man River’s much awaited sophomore album Trust is released here in Australia. I have been so thrilled and honoured to be part of this project – it is the biggest thing I’ve worked on so far, but I also think Ohad is such a great artist and his music is really genuine, warm and authentic, much like him really. I have loved all the tunes off Trust that I’ve been lucky enough to listen to – and I’m sure many of you will too.
The album is also being released in Japan! OMR has been rather successful there with his first album. A hard market to crack!

23rd July – N.B I just received word that the release date has been pushed back to 10th Sept. Sorry folks, but I have listened to Trust and I promise that it is a brilliant, beautiful album and will be worth the wait. In the meantime, I am going to try to get my hands on a Japan-import version, stay tuned for pics!
