It’s been crazy hot lately. My poor cat has been flopping on my kitchen tiles like it’s going out of fashion. Am pretty busy at the moment preparing for the Finders Keepers markets, finishing up some artworks for shows, brainstorming for a mural (pretty big news… more to come!) and generally trying to stay cool, calm and collected. I just finished an animation course too so watch out for more to come on that…
Here’s a sneak peek at some photos I did for a shoot for my good friend Mon – who is in her final year of fashion at Tafe and made some rather beautiful dresses and head pieces!

I recently was interviewed by the lovely lads from V-Raw, who run a weekly podcast chatting to all sorts of wonderful people in creative industries. Some of my favourite people are in there, including Sonny & Biddy from We Buy Your Kids, Dan Boud & Cybele Malinowski, Hobogestapo, Mark from Inertia, FBi radio, The Glue Society, Lifelounge… the list goes on. So it’s rather an honour that I was asked to come and chew the fat and talk about what I do. I may or may not have also talked about babies in jars, nudes and Tokyo serial killers. Check out the interview HERE.
V-Raw is also a great initiative, helping get young people into creative industries through jobs and internships, I have done one myself in the past and it was a great experience. So check out the listings and apply!

I’ve been fortunate enough to be included as part of the Spring/Summer ‘09 markets for The Finders Keepers. These markets are a big event, being held twice a year in Sydney and Brisbane and bringing together new and upcoming contemporary independent artists and designers. It’s sponsored by folk such as Frankie, Two Thousand, Leeloo and Happenstance.
It’s rather flattering to be included in such a great lineup! I will be selling screen-printed cards, stationery, tshirts, bags, limited edition prints and original artworks. There will be stuff which you can’t buy from me online as yet, so come along and say hi!
They will be held on Fri 4th and Sat 5th of December at Carriageworks (245 Wilson St, Eveleigh). Go HERE for more info on the event, it’s bound to be a cracker and great for anyone wanting to get some of their Christmas shopping done…
