Am currently spending a month travelling, seeing my much missed triplet sis in London for a few days, before we headed off to Reykjavik for 5 days. London was fantastic, though the weather was miserable. Saw Bat for Lashes play (amazing!), downed a few pints, was in bliss at the Tate Modern when I got to see Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Basquiat and Damien Hirst works.
Iceland – the land of beautiful nords and knitted jumpers. I don’t know why I was suprised that Iceland was so cold, I mean, come on. But it really is. It’s been snowing and gale force winds! Fun! I think I saw Bjork riding her broomstick today.
Here for a few more days then off to 2 weeks in Paris! ^_^

I recently got commissioned to paint a mural for the band room at Mona Vale Hotel, aka The Attic. The room has a new vibe and is looking great. I was ultra stoked to have Tame Impala break in my artwork on it’s first night with a sold out gig. The whole thing has been a great lesson in learning to ‘let go’ of my art once it’s done and especially if it’s in a public space. It only took 2 days for someone to draw a wang on it but that’s life for you, and an expensive mistake for them as they lost their deposit for the function they were having! The eyeliner washed off, crisis averted, and I couldn’t even see the blemish. Sucked in! Art 1 – dropkick 0.
